When a retired couple contacted us about their downsizing needs, they resorted to moving into an older condo. The older condo buildings have much larger spaces than today’s condos, but they lack the functional updates necessary to transition from a house to a condo.
Our Condoworks team collaborated with Designs By KS to transform the entire condo in 2 phases: first was a complete revamp of the living areas (as the client’s timing to close on their house was tight), and second the bathrooms.
This phased-out process allowed the client to meet their transformation needs while working within our resources/personnel.
The result was a complete redo of the entire large-footprint condo, with accessibility throughout for aging-in-place features such as grab bars and accessible showers.
