Out-of-province owners (residing in Calgary) contacted Condoworks to give their family condo a fresh new look with the goal of achieving a youthful, modern aesthetic that maximized storage in a small footprint. The condo’s 2 bed/2 bath layout was the perfect canvas to execute fresh ideas and maximize the kitchen’s usability.
Our design partner on this project was andreajae studio, bringing her personal touches by presenting a fun material palette to the clients. Playing with terrazzo tiles in the bathrooms and geometrical tiles around the fireplace, her creative insight knocked this project out of the park.
The kitchen layout was revamped for a more efficient walk-through, accentuated by contrasting matte colours that anchored the kitchen’s presence. Additional storage was found by eliminating the bulkhead and increasing the upper cabinet’s heights while taking advantage of a wing wall by adding floor-to-ceiling storage cabinets.
